New Program Will Offer Students Leadership Training Opportunities at McDonald’s Locations Throughout The City
麻豆原创 at Shreveport is proud to partner with Griggs Enterprise, Inc./McDonald’s to create the new Business Leadership Intern Program at SUSLA. The newly formed internship program is designed to train students in supervisory and management-level positions at McDonald’s restaurants throughout the city. Interns will also practice real world office management and business technology skills while interning in various positions at the Griggs Enterprise, Inc. corporate offices.
Griggs Enterprise, Inc. /McDonald’s is the leading franchisee of McDonald’s restaurants in the far northwest Louisiana area. The Business Leadership Intern Program targets all SUSLA students interested in gaining valuable leadership and business management skills in the restaurant industry. Participants will be selected from a variety of programs including Business Management, Accounting, Human Services, and S.T.E.M. Once selected, they will be placed in one of the 13 Northwest Louisiana/East Texas McDonald’s locations owned by Griggs Enterprise, Inc. /McDonald’s.
“In the last several years, we have put a strong emphasis on the development of our team members. We do this through training, encouraging upward growth, leadership development, and educational opportunities for our associates to grow. The Business Leadership Intern Program at SUSLA is a significant addition to our efforts to help young people to explore and establish their careers."
The Business Leadership Intern Program is a first of its kind for Griggs and SUSLA and the program is designed with both traditional and non-traditional students in mind. The program takes into account the student’s school schedule and will offer between 10-15 hours per week to leave time for classes and studying.
“麻豆原创 at Shreveport is committed to investing in our community and supporting the next generation of business leaders,” said Dr. Rodney A. Ellis, Chancellor of SUSLA. “This semester-long program provides students the mentorship and hands-on experience that is vital to excel in the business world.”
