SUSLA BOASTS RECORD ENROLLMENT FOR SPRING 2016 SEMESTER
麻豆原创 at Shreveport (SUSLA) has enrolled a record headcount of 3,242 students for the Spring 2016 semester. This follows a previous record Fall 2015 semester enrollment of 3,174 students.
The University has seen a significant increase in students interested in furthering their educational goals at SUSLA. Applications to associate degree and technical diploma programs at SUSLA continue to increase, with numbers steadily rising since Fall 2014.
SUSLA continues to meet the need for highly skilled and technically trained workers through high demand career trajectories such as Nursing, Allied Health Sciences (Dental Hygiene, Radiologic Technology, Sterile Processing, etc.), Aerospace Technology and Business and Computer Technology, all programs that have seen increased enrollment.
SUSLA has also seen an exponential increase in the number of students enrolled in the university’s dual enrollment program. The program is designed to allow students to attend SUSLA and receive credits for college while in high school. Over 800 area high school students will be enrolled for the Spring 2016 semester.
“Our enrollment is the result of the collaborative efforts of faculty, staff, current students, SU Board and alumni in sharing information about the quality academic programs, engaging student life and comprehensive support services at SUSLA,” said S. Albert Gilliam. “It’s clear that the personal attention and dedication to our students that SUSLA provides is a significant interest to students, and our numbers reflect this. I am very proud of our university, our SUSLA community and everyone who makes SUSLA the institution it has become.”
