Walk for Humanity

The skies were clear and the weather was perfect for the 2015 Walk for Humanity, held on April 11 at Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway!
Members of the SUSLA community came together to walk and run for the cause of global humanitarian outreach in Africa. Sponsored by the Institute of Global Outreach founded by Mrs. Velma Kirksey-Tarver, this year’s Walk For Humanity was the biggest to date.

Over 350 students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of SUSLA joined Chancellor Ray Belton and laced up their shoes to participate in the 1 mile fun run as well at the 5k walk/run. Mr. Dameyon Woodley, transcript coordinator at SUSLA, made the Walk a family event for his wife and two children. “I am so proud that my family completed the walk, and it’s great to be out here with co-workers and members of the community, walking for a good cause,” noted Woodley.

Thanks and congratulations to all members of “Team SUSLA” for completing the Walk and coming together for a great cause!
