URGENT: Hurricane Harvey- Relief Items Needed

30-Aug-2017
From: Dr. Rodney A. Ellis, Chancellor

Faculty and staff,

In response to the urgent flooding crisis, the 麻豆原创 System Office has issued a call to action to support our neighbors in South Louisiana and Houston, Texas. In a display of unity with our sister campuses within the system, efforts have begun to collect items to send toward the relief effort.

We have drop off locations in each building on the main campus and at the Metro Center. If you would like to contribute, items that have been requested include: clothes, jackets, socks, blankets, shoes, diapers, personal care, and non-perishable food items.

Please join with me in supporting this effort to bring relief to those in need. Additional help will also be needed on Saturday and Sunday to help organize the donated items and prepare them to be shipped. If you would like to volunteer a one or two hour shift, please see schedule below and contact Mrs. Leslie McClellon at lmcclellon@susla.edu or Stephanie Rogers at srogers@susla.edu.

Jaguar Courtyard and Metro Center:

Monday –Thursday from 8:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Volunteers needed)

For Monetary Donations

The SU System Foundation has established a special 2017 Texas Flood Fund to accept donations that will go directly to support victims of the devastating flooding in Texas and Southwest Louisiana as a result of Hurricane Harvey. We ask that our alumni, friends, and stakeholders join in to help with this humanitarian relief effort by making contributions.
